“Quieting a Noisy Soul” Video Series Sunday Evenings

Home > News & Events > “Quieting a Noisy Soul” Video Series Sunday Evenings

The church is viewing the video series, “Quieting a Noisy Soul” each Sunday night at 6:00.

Sounds of guilt, anxiety, anger, despair, addictions, and even entertainment can generate overwhelming noise in our souls. The quiet rest and joy promised by the Lord Jesus can seem illusive, and almost impossible. Yet His words still beckon to us:

“Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)

His call extends even to those experiencing panic attacks, obsessive thoughts, and compulsive behaviors as well as those practicing more overtly destructive behaviors such as anorexia, bulimia, addiction, and self-mutilation. No human problem of the soul is too complicated and no personal agony is too overwhelming for the Master.

Quieting a Noisy Soul KitThe Quieting a Noisy Soul DVD program provides the roadmap out of the turmoil for the struggling believer. At the same time its biblical truths will bring added joy and peace to the soul of any believer seeking greater intimacy with the Lord Jesus.

All are welcome to join us Sunday evenings to watch and learn from the 24 sessions in this excellent series.  The sessions will likely run through the month of March, 2015.

These very helpful sessions are taught by Dr. Jim Berg, former Dean of Students at Bob Jones University and the author of several highly successful Christian discipleship books.

Berg received his undergraduate degree in Bible in 1974, and his MA degree in theology in 1976 from Bob Jones University. He has an honorary doctor of divinity degree from Tabernacle Baptist Theological Seminary. He served as dean of students at BJU from 1981 to 2010. Today he teaches in the BJU Seminary and tinkers on his old Volkswagen, Willie.
